Millennia of history, suffused with an aura of holiness, meet the vigorous modern capital of the state of Israel, sacred sites side by side with bustling bazaars, quiet, winding alleys tucked away between boulevards teeming with tourists. Jerusalem is easy to fall in love with; you don’t need a tour guide for that. If you let Jerusalem draw you in and carry you along, you’re bound to have a tremendous experience. Nevertheless, if you want to get to know the town more deeply, its history, its residents, and its finest restaurants – you definitely need a tour guide, and he better be a good one, one able to fit your group and its needs.
That’s where I come in. My name is Yishay Shavit and I love Jerusalem; I love the people living here, the Old City, and the new, the Mah’ne Yehuda market and the Bad Cookery market, in short – there’s no place like Jerusalem.
